How we lined up each 10ft trampoline
We unboxed each 10ft trampoline and checked it against its own bullet points, title and dimension fields. Where two lines disagreed, we kept the one that fits a 305 cm frame and said so in the card.
- Stated user weight first, because it decides whether an adult can join in; test loads were kept out of that figure.
- Net position next: inside the springs, on the mat edge or outside the springs, where the listing says so.
- Then the parts count: springs, legs and poles, when the seller gives them.
- Last, the box: ladder, anchors, cover, spring tool.
Four of the nine give no user weight in their bullet points. They come last because that figure has to come from the manual before any comparison.
Where a 10ft trampoline fits in a garden
Width: the 305 cm circle
A 10ft trampoline takes a 305 cm circle on the lawn before any clear space. Centred in a garden 5 m wide, that leaves 97 cm on each side; in a 4 m garden, 47 cm. The manual of your model gives the clearance to keep, and that figure decides, not the frame alone.
Height: what hangs over it
| Model | Overall height (listing) | Frame or mat height |
|---|---|---|
| SONGMICS STR10GN | 256 cm | Frame 50 cm high |
| HyperMotion 10ft | 261 cm | Mat about 76 cm up |
| PlayActive 10ft | 266 cm | Frame 76 cm high |
Add the jumper's height to those figures and a washing line or a low branch is soon in reach. Manufacturers' manuals ask for clear space above as well as around the frame.

Net inside or outside on a 10ft trampoline
On a 10ft trampoline the net position changes what the jumper can touch. An inner net clips to the mat edge, so feet and hands stay away from springs and frame; a net outside the springs leaves the padding as the only layer between jumper and steel.
- HyperMotion: the enclosure sits inside the outer spring area, on fibreglass rods.
- Zero Gravity Ultima 4: netting on the edge of the jumping surface, arced uprights, wired top ring.
- Bestway Xtreme Air: a no-gap zip enclosure held up by a top ring, closed with two buckles.
Replacing the net later
A replacement trampoline net is matched to the frame diameter and the number of poles. Devoko is the only one of the nine that states its pole count (eight), so note yours on the day of assembly.
Springs, legs and the stated user weight
Four of the 10ft trampoline listings give all three figures. Spring count alone says little: SONGMICS lists 36 springs and the same 150 kg as Devoko with 64.
| Model | Springs | Legs | Stated user weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Devoko GSD10FTK | 64 | Reinforced T-legs | 150 kg |
| PlayActive 10ft | 60 | 3 | 150 kg |
| SONGMICS STR10GN | 36 | 4, W-shaped | 150 kg |
| HyperMotion 10ft | 54 | 3, double W-shaped | 100 kg |
Zero Gravity quotes 500 kg weight testing in its lab. That is how hard the frame was tested, not how heavy a jumper may be. Manuals ask for one person on the mat at a time; never add children's weights together.
10ft trampoline or the sizes either side
Each step in the UK range adds 61 cm to the diameter. The frame area goes from about 4.7 m² at 8ft to 7.3 m² at 10ft and 10.5 m² at 12ft, so the 10ft trampoline gives half as much room again as an 8ft frame.
When to step down or up
- Garden under about 4 m wide: compare the 8ft models and their clearances first.
- Teenagers or adults jumping: check the stated user weight before the diameter; three 10ft listings give 150 kg.
- Room to spare and a long-term plan: the 12ft comparison has three 150 kg models and one box with anchors.
Our size guide works through garden widths with each frame.
Listing traps on a 10ft trampoline
Trusting the dimension field
Kanga's 10ft listing shows 263 cm, Devoko's shows the 14ft size. Take the frame size from the title and the bullet points.
Reading pooled ratings as one model
- Ratings on a multi-size listing cover every size sold under it, 8ft to 14ft.
- ‘Ages 3 and up’ on a full-size frame meets RoSPA's line that under-sixes should not use full-size trampolines.
- No anchors in the box means ordering a kit before the first windy night.
Our Bestway Xtreme Air review and the SONGMICS 10ft test go further on two of these frames.
Frequently asked questions
- How big is a 10ft trampoline?
The frame is 305 cm across. The mat is smaller: HyperMotion gives 264 cm. Overall height with the net runs from 240 to 266 cm on these listings.
- Can an adult use a 10ft trampoline?
Only within the stated user weight of that model: 150 kg for PlayActive, Devoko and SONGMICS, 100 kg for HyperMotion. One person at a time.
- How many springs should it have?
No set number. These listings run from 36 to 64 springs, and both ends carry the same 150 kg rating.
- Does a 10ft trampoline need anchoring?
Yes, in most UK gardens. Kanga includes an anchor kit; for the others, buy one and follow the manual for high winds.
- What age is a 10ft trampoline for?
The age comes from each listing: over 3 for HyperMotion, 3 and up for GALACTICA. RoSPA advises that children under six should not use full-size trampolines, and children jump under adult supervision.
- Is a 10ft trampoline heavy to move?
PlayActive gives 50 kg for its 10ft trampoline. Plan two adults for carrying and assembly, as the manuals do.
