- Two listings start at 12 months (TP Toys, Galt); four name ages 3 to 6 in the title.
- Only two give a plain weight limit: 20 kg for Galt, 25 kg for Bestway WonderJump.
- Seven models use a handle; FitinOne and Happin add a full net on a 55-inch frame.
- Happin and FitinOne ship with swings, rings and balls; Radio Flyer doubles as a racetrack play mat.

What we checked on each kids trampoline
We read each kids trampoline listing line by line and set the nine side by side on six points. The figures come from the sellers; where a title and a bullet disagree, the product notes flag it.
- The age printed on the listing, and whether the title and bullets agree.
- A weight figure, where there is one.
- The support: a handle, a bar or a full net.
- Padding over the frame and what the bounce runs on: springs, bands or a sprung base.
- Folding, assembly and what else is in the box.
Ages on kids trampoline listings
The age on a kids trampoline listing is the seller's, and it is the first filter. Nine models fall into four bands.
| Age band | Models | Support |
|---|---|---|
| From 12 months | TP Toys Early Fun, Galt Turtle | Handle |
| Toddlers, no figure | Plum My First Bouncer, My First Trampoline, Bestway WonderJump | Handle |
| Ages 3 to 6 | Radio Flyer, ATIVAFIT, Happin | Handle, or net on Happin |
| Ages 1 to 8 | FitinOne | Net and bar |
When the title and the bullets disagree
Happin's title says 3 to 6 while one bullet speaks of children aged 2 to 6. FitinOne's title reads 1 to 8 and its accessories are described for 3 to 12. We go by the title and the manual.
RoSPA advises that children under six should not use full-size trampolines. A small frame with a handle or net is the usual answer at that age, with an adult watching every session.
Weight limits on a kids trampoline
Only two of the nine give a plain limit for the child: 20 kg on the Galt Turtle and 25 kg on the Bestway WonderJump. For the others, the manual or the seller holds the figure, and it is worth reading before ordering for an older or heavier child.
FitinOne's title carries 440 lbs (about 200 kg). On a 55-inch frame for small children that reads as a frame rating, not a jumper's limit. Check the manual and keep to one child at a time.
One child at a time
The manuals for this type say one user at a time. Two toddlers on one kids trampoline collide, whatever the frame can carry.
Handle or net: two kinds of kids trampoline
Handle bouncers
Seven models hold the child with a bar at the front. The child faces the handle and bounces on the spot, which suits a first try from about one year, per the TP Toys and Galt listings. They fold or come apart for a cupboard.
55-inch frames with a net
FitinOne and Happin wrap a net round a 140 cm class frame, so the child can turn and jump freely. They take more floor and need a ceiling high enough for the poles.

Indoors, garden or both
Most of these sellers say indoor and outdoor, but the materials differ. The listing wording is the guide to where a kids trampoline can live.
| Model | Where, per the listing | Material note |
|---|---|---|
| Galt Turtle | Indoors or outdoors | Weatherproof padded mat, steel frame |
| ATIVAFIT | Indoors and outdoors | Waterproof Oxford cloth mat |
| Happin | Outdoors on dry days, or indoors | Reinforced padding cover |
| My First Trampoline | Indoor play | Cushioned base for floors |
| Bestway WonderJump | Indoor or outdoor | Non-slip foot pads |

Storing and assembling a kids trampoline
Small frames are often packed away between sessions, so the fold matters as much as the bounce.
- Radio Flyer: the handle folds flat.
- Bestway WonderJump: remove the bar, unscrew the feet, fold.
- Galt Turtle: handle and legs detach; two adults assemble it.
- ATIVAFIT: one-person assembly with the tools supplied.
- FitinOne: arrives with a spring installation tool and a manual.
Our step-by-step assembly guide covers springs and nets on larger frames.
Toys in the box and mistakes to avoid
Swings, rings and punch bags
Happin lists ten accessories and FitinOne four kinds, sandbag, ocean balls, swing and rings. Hang a swing or a punch bag only where the manual shows it.
- Buying on the age band alone: weight and floor space matter too.
- Expecting a handle bouncer to last until eight; the 3-to-6 listings stop at six.
- Putting a netted 55-inch frame under a low ceiling.
- Moving up too early: small netted trampolines from 4.5ft and an 8ft garden trampoline come next.
Plum's toddler and junior frames sit alongside its garden range on our Plum trampolines page, and the safety page covers supervision.

Frequently asked questions
- What age can a toddler start on a trampoline?
From 12 months on two of these listings, TP Toys and Galt, with a handle and an adult beside the child. Follow the age on the listing you buy, not a general rule.
- Is a handle or a net better for a three-year-old?
Either, depending on space. A handle keeps the child bouncing in one spot on a small frame; a net on a 55-inch frame gives room to turn but takes more floor and height.
- Can a kids trampoline stay in the garden all year?
No: these small frames are sold for indoor and outdoor play, not as fixtures. Bring them in after use and store them as the manual describes.
- Do toddler trampolines have springs?
Some do: FitinOne lists 36 steel springs. ATIVAFIT uses elastic bands, and the handle bouncers describe padded or sprung bases instead.
- Should siblings share one?
No, one child at a time, as the manuals say.
- What comes after a toddler trampoline?
A netted small trampoline of 140 to 183 cm for ages 3 to 6, then a garden trampoline from 8ft once the child is six or over.
- Is a kids trampoline suitable for flats?
A handle bouncer is, on a rug and with the neighbours below in mind. ATIVAFIT's seller describes its band design as silent.
