Anchoring a 12ft trampoline in a British garden
A 12ft trampoline is a big, light sail once the net is up, and UK gusts can lift or shift one. Kanga's is the only listing here that names an anchor kit. For the others, check the box list and order a kit before the first windy night.
- U-shaped pegs push into the lawn over the legs.
- Screw-in spiral anchors twist into the ground and strap to the frame.
- Zero Gravity's quick-release enclosure lets the net come down when a storm is forecast.
Anchor kits sit with the other trampoline parts and add-ons. For high winds, removing the net and winter storage, follow the manufacturer's manual.
Space for a 12ft trampoline
Width of the lawn
The frame alone is 366 cm across. Centred in a garden 6 m wide, a 12ft trampoline leaves 117 cm each side; in a 5 m garden, 67 cm. Set those figures against the clearance in your model's manual.
Height above it
| Model | Height (listing) | Other stated figure |
|---|---|---|
| Monzana 12ft | 268 cm | Spring cover in the set |
| SONGMICS STR122O01 | 270 cm | 72 springs |
| Zupapa 12ft | 270 cm | 72 springs |
| Zero Gravity Ultima 4 | 273 cm | 20 mm EPE padding |
| Kanga 12ft | Frame 80 cm high | 3.18 m mat |
Our garden-width tables set each frame against common garden widths.
How many jumpers on a 12ft trampoline
One. The extra 61 cm over a 10ft frame gives a single jumper more room, not space for two: manuals and RoSPA both say one person on the trampoline at a time.
What the user weight allows
| Stated user weight | 12ft models |
|---|---|
| 150 kg | MERACH, Devoko, SONGMICS |
| 120 kg | Kanga, Zupapa |
A 150 kg rating is for one jumper. Two children of 40 kg each are not ‘80 kg of load’: they are two jumpers, and the manuals rule that out.
How we sorted the 12ft trampoline boxes
We checked each 12ft trampoline against its title and bullet points and counted what ships: anchors first, then the ladder, then spare parts and extras.
- Anchor kit named in the listing (Kanga).
- Ladder plus extras: MERACH's hoop set, Monzana's spring cover and tool, Devoko's shoe organiser.
- Ladder alone: Zupapa, SONGMICS.
- Tool or enclosure only: Bestway, Zero Gravity.

Parcels and assembly of a 12ft trampoline
A 12ft trampoline arrives in several boxes. Kanga lists three, of 32, 17 and 13 kg; SONGMICS designs its slot-in frame for two people.
Springs to fit
- 70 springs for Bestway and Devoko, 72 for SONGMICS and Zupapa.
- Bestway supplies its QuickSpring Tool; Monzana a spring tool.
- Springs go on at opposite points of the frame, as the manuals show.
Our assembly guide takes the steps in order.

Is a 12ft trampoline right for your household
It suits
- Families with a garden at least 5 m across once the manual's clearance is added.
- Teenagers and adults within a 150 kg rating, jumping one at a time.
- Households ready to anchor the frame and take the net down in a storm.
Look elsewhere if
- The lawn slopes or the only flat patch is under trees or a washing line.
- The main jumper is under six: RoSPA advises against full-size trampolines at that age.
- Nobody at home can lift a 32 kg box or fit 70 springs with a spring tool.
12ft trampoline, 10ft or 14ft
| Frame | Diameter | Stated user weights seen |
|---|---|---|
| 10ft | 305 cm | 100 to 150 kg |
| 12ft | 366 cm | 120 to 150 kg |
| 14ft | 427 cm | 150 to 200 kg |
The 10ft models save 61 cm of lawn. At the other end, a 14ft frame or bigger reaches 200 kg on the AWEV listing.
